This ancient Chinese sweet treat of skewered fruit encased in a hard sugar shell that has been around for centuries! 

step 2

Combine water & sugar in a saucepan; stir to combine. Place on stove top over medium high heat.

step 3

Bring the mixture to boil until sugar dissolves. Do not stir the mixture once it boils to avoid crystalization.

step 4

When syrup is 300°-310°F, dip the skewers, swirling to fully coat. Place upright until hardened.
