½cup+ 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
½teaspoonpeppermint extract*

Holiday M&M'sor colorful candies, nonpareils or sprinkles
Instructions
Line a small bowl with plastic wrap. You'll need enough to hang over the edges so that you can completely cover the cream cheese mixture.
In the bowl of a stand mixer {or using a hand mixer}, cream together the cream cheese and butter until smooth and combined.
Add the powdered sugar and mix until fully incorporated. Beat in the peppermint extract. Gently Fold in the crushed Oreos until just mixed in.
Scoop the mixture into the plastic wrap-lined bowl. Gather the excess plastic wrap and purse it into a ball, twisting the top. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours or until firm.
When the mixture is chilled and firm, remove from the refrigerator. Take the cheese ball out of the bowl and, with the plastic wrap still on, shape it into a ball. Unwrap and place onto a small serving plate.
Using your M&M's or sprinkles, press the decor onto the outside of the cheese ball in whatever pattern or design you desire.
Top with an ornament cap for the full effect, or use a gold wrapped peanut butter cup or gold-wrapped chocolate caramel candy. Serve with graham crackers or pretzel crisps!
Notes
*If you don't enjoy the taste of peppermint, substitute vanilla extract or omit!
