Nutella Caramel Sauce! Sweet and decadent this sauce is a perfect combination of caramel, chocolate, and hazelnut. A great ice cream topping!

- ½ cup half & half
- ¼ cup sugar
- ¼ cup water
- ¾ cup Nutella
- 1 tablespoon corn syrup
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- ⅛ teaspoon sea salt
Warm half & half in a microwaveable cup until steaming (30-45 seconds).
Combine the sugar and water in a small saucepan over high heat and bring to a boil without stirring, until amber brown. (Keep an eye on this, it can burn VERY quickly.)
Carefully whisk in warm cream until smooth and let cook for 1 minute. The caramel will bubble & rise, so use a big enough saucepan so it does not overflow.
Remove from the heat and whisk in the Nutella, corn syrup, salt and vanilla extract until smooth. Transfer to a heat safe bowl.
Allow to cool until thickened, then transfer to jar or container. Once slightly cooled, keep refrigerated.
