One of my favorite types of summer recipes to have in my back pocket for everything from backyard barbecues to hot weather holidays is a simple dip that comes together in minutes.
My Whipped Feta Dip is a simple appetizer that will be on repeat all summer long! Salty feta cheese is blended with Greek yogurt, garlic and lemon juice to form a creamy spread that can be used for dipping or slathering. Topped with a drizzle of honey and pistachios, you'll feel like you're summering in the Mediterranean with each bite!

Ingredients
- Cream cheese
- Plain Greek yogurt
- Feta cheese. You can use feta that comes in a block or crumbled feta.
- Garlic
- Lemon juice. Fresh is always best when possible.
- Honey. While it may seem strange to add honey to a savory dip, it truly makes the flavor pop! Don't skip it.
- Roasted Pistachios
Instructions
This dip really can't get much easier to make!
Place the cream cheese, Greek yogurt, garlic, feta cheese and lemon juice in the bowl of a food processor.
Process until the mixture is smooth.
Scoop the Whipped Feta Dip into an airtight container and refrigerate until chilled. This will allow the flavors to marry.
If you're going to serve it right away, scoop the mixture into a serving bowl. Sprinkle with chopped pistachios and a drizzle of honey.
Serve immediately with pita chips!
Tip: The honey sinks down into the dip as it sits, so it's best to wait until just before serving to drizzle with honey.
FAQ's
Absolutely! In fact, chilling it for at least a few hours before serving allows the flavors to marry, so I recommend doing so if you have time. Store the dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
Whipped feta goes great with raw vegetables, pita chips, or toasted bread, and can also be used to drizzle on salads or serve with gyros, burgers and wraps!
Feta cheese is a Greek cheese that is traditionally made with sheep's milk, but is often made with cow's milk in the U.S. It is salty, soft and crumbly, and sometimes comes preserved in a brine.
