Smoothies are such a great way to get a dose of nutrients in one, power-packed glass of goodness. Whether blending a smoothie up for breakfast on the go, enjoying a frosty glass as an afternoon snack, or helping to get extra vitamins and fiber into kids without complaint, smoothies are the answer!

My sweet and fruity Cantaloupe Smoothie is one of my favorite blends! Cantaloupe provides Vitamin C, Vitamin A and electrolytes and makes a heavenly match with the rest of the ingredients featured in this tasty treat!

This recipe is naturally gluten free and can be made dairy free/vegan. (See Variations & Substitutions area below.)

Ingredients

  • Orange juice
  • Plain Greek yogurt
  • Honey
  • Cantaloupe
  • Strawberries
  • Ice

Instructions

Place all of the ingredients in a high speed blender. Blend until smooth.

Pour into a tall glass and garnish with extra fruit or top with your favorite healthful extras like ground flax seeds and chia seeds.

Can cantaloupe be frozen for smoothies?

It sure can! In fact, using frozen cantaloupe can make for a thicker, creamier smoothie and require less ice. (You may want to add a little more liquid to help it blend.)

What are the health benefits of cantaloupe?

Cantaloupe is full of Vitamin C, Vitamin A and potassium as well as phytonutrients. They’re also made up of 90% water, so they’re a super hydrating snack or smoothie ingredient!

Ingredients  

  • ¼ cup orange juice
  • ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • cup cubed cantaloupe
  • cup chopped strawberries
  • ½ cup ice
